Description

Party In The Park 5 - Friday 10 August 2012 - Queens Park, Chesterfield

Chesterfield Action Housing and Support who work to enable vulnerable people to establish a home and live responsibly in society, are holding a big party in Queens Park to raise awareness of support services in the area that the general public may not be aware of. Throughout the day there will be entertainment, music, food, competitions, information, advise and it will be opened by the Mayor.

This year's nominated charity to benefit from proceedings donated on the day will be the Mayor's appeal supporting Nenna Kind Cancer Drop in Centre, Staveley Armed Forces Veterans Association, Chesterfield Armed Forces and the Shoe Box Appeal for Afghanistan. By promoting services like Action Housing and Support throughout the wider community, it enables people who need help and support to feel comfortable in the knowledge that they know where to access help. It is estimated that around 500 members of the public will attend the event. If you organisation is interested in having a stall or you would like more information please contact Mike Parker-Travers on 07917899371 or email mike.parker-travers@actionhousinguk.org

There is no cut off date to apply, however space maybe limited, so an early expression of interest would be appriciated.
